Bigger and Stronger Racial Ogres may improve their Strength and Toughness scores at a cost of one fewer creation point or advance. Since the maximum limit on characteristics is based on the available slots in the open career advance section, this also means that Ogres may increase their Strength and Toughness scores to 7, ignoring the normal maximum values. (They may not, however, exceed the normal starting characteristic limits of 5)
Fearless Racial Ogres treat the difficulty of all Fear ratings confronting them as 1 less than normal (to a minimum of 1). In addition, Terror ratings confronting them are treated as Fear ratings instead (but do not have their rating reduced)
Careers Racial Ogre Career Restrictions: Ogres can enter any career that both a human and a dwarf can enter
The Great Maw Racial The Great Maw: Ogres can and will eat almost any-thing – their hunger is legendary. In fact, Ogres must eat a pound of meat every hour or begin to starve. An Ogre who fails to eat adds a misfortune die to all checks for each “meal” he skips. He keeps adding misfortune dice to his checks until he is able to eat enough meat to make up for his skipped meals. If the number of misfortune dice added to his checks due to hunger ever exceeds an Ogre’s Toughness score, he either descends into a desperate, murderous, rage, killing and eating everything around him, or slumps helplessly to the ground until fed (player’s choice). Ogres gain 2 fortune dice to any check to resist ingested toxins, diseases, or any other hazard encountered through eating

Soon after he left the Kingdoms in order to find his way in the greater world Margat encountered a lone human priest, set upon by beastmen. The young Ogre’s eyes were drawn to the great red coment splashed across the priests vestment. The great maw came to his people as a comet. The simple minded behemoth took this as a sign and strode into the melee. Minutes later the beastmen lay dead and the devout man and hulking Ogre found themselves face to face and wondering what to do.
Margat reached out a sausage thick finger towards the twin tailed comet and prodded the priest in the chest, “s’Maw”.
Father Fuchs was taken aback. he had heard of these Ogre’s and had thought them to be naught but savage. yet here was one that had just aided him in the defeat of his foes, esentially saving his life, and it also showed knowledge of the cult. It’s brutish tongue was unable to sound out the correct name but it was apparent to Fuch’s that the beast had tried to say “Sigmar”.
The warrior Priest took this as a sign from his God and he pledged to teach this heathen the ways of the Cult.
Which he did, starting that very evening. While Margat munched his way through an Ungor he attentively listened to everything the Maw’s little prophet said and a very unusual partnership was forged.
The ogre took to the priest’s stories like a child like sponge. The Comet imagery struck something deep within his gut. The Great Maw had come from a comet, perhaps this Sigmar was a prophet of the Great Maw, or maybe Sigmar was the Great Maw. So in the Ogre’s simple mind “Sigmaw” took root.
Margat travelled the Northern Reaches of the Empire with Father Fuch’s seeking out and cleansing mutation, corruption and evil.
After some time the priest grew used to Margat’s habit of taking tithe from their fallen foes. After some time he even noted that the Ogre had some inherent resistance to the corrupting influence of the enemy and ceased warning him against eating of the corrupt flesh. After a time Fuchs began to believe that the Ogre’s resistance was another gift from Sigmar, that those whose bodies he consumed were freed of their physical curse and their souls somehow cleansed.
Father Fuchs and Margat travelled together for some years before the priest was struck down by the nefarious ways of the Chaos gods. The constant exposure to corruption had wraught terrible damage to the devout Sigmarite body and, one fateful evening as Morsliebb’s baleful face rose into the sky the Priests body was wracked with painful spasms and contorted into unholy form.
The transformation broke the man’s mind and, as his friend lay gibbering and sobbing, twisted into a mockery of his pious self, Margat knew what he had to do.
“Suffer not the mutant to live!”
Fat tears rolling down his cheeks, he took his friends wretched and wriggling form and proceeded to consume the Priest’s sin, one heart wrenching bite at a time.
While each bite brought fresh screams from Fuchs, Margat uttered a short sobbing prayer to Sigmar’s glory and only after the screaming wails had ceased did the Ogre eat in silence. With the final swallow he looked to the heavens and consigned the priests cleansed soul to Sigmars grace.
“Fly to Sigmaw, Fuchs”
He took the Priests vestments and hammer and strode off into the night in search of redemption and heretics.
