You’re a Human male from the Empire, 29 years of age. You were born and raised in Zundap, a village in Ostland province.
You are 5 foot 10 and weigh 165 pounds. You have Sandy hair, green eyes and a ruddy complexion. You are right handed. Your lucky charm is a stone pendant that you wear on a necklace and your most distinguishing feature is your unruly moustache.

Your birthday is in the autumn, on the 21st day of Brauzeit (the Brew Month). Your star sign is that of The Broken Cart, the sign of pride.
Your family’s colours are purple and umber. Your family shield is emblazoned with the image of a rose.
Both of your parents are alive and well. You have 1 older sister. You are married, and your spouse is infirm. You have no children.

You know several members of a local gang of rogues.
You’ve made an enemy of someone who has greater experience in your line of work.

Born to Wigher and Ilse Kell in the village of Zunlap in Ostand, Carl was the second child to the family, His sister Thilde was the eldest.

Carl was found to be a quite intelligent child but quite clumsy. Thus obtaining the childish taunt, Carl the Fell. Having a normal childhood for the most part at 8 year old, while out with his father and sister, his sister got injured in the woods near the village, attacked by some small chaos creature, the creature was chased off. Carl didn’t even blink an eye at this creature but rushed to his sisters aid, using some ability he never experienced before a power flowed out of him into his sister and her wounds closed up.
Fearing for his son, his father took the children home, and got in touch with the Sigmar priest, luckily their local priest was more educated than the norm, and informed the mage guild. Carl was taken away to Altdorf.

There his skills were recognized to be using the wind of Hysh, and he was enrolled into the College of Light. An honoured and rare college to gain entry too.

Over the year he learnt the workings of the college and improved his mage skills. While there he formed a relationship with a girl from the celestial college named Maria Wusthovener. They qualified and married, lived in Altdolf, doing work for their respective colleges.

At 24 the war began, they both head north joining the Empire army to save the Empire and family. As his home region was one of the first to fell the brunt of the chaos attacks.

While away meeting an force of the Bretonnian alliance he and his wife met them, a member of the retinue was Luidolf Desfleuves’ father. While at the meeting Carl sensed something, his years at the College of Light and his own ancestry giving him skills to sense dark magic being used to influenced the meeting to sow distrust. Whispering to his wife, she used her abilities to pierce the magical winds being woven around the tent, and dispelled the magic in the area. One of the female advisers illusion was disrupted and was displayed to be really a tall man with a sneering face. He suddenly unleashed a spell at Carls wife Maria, causing her to collapse, in the resulting confusion of casting and screams the Sorcerer escaped. Carl rushed to his wife but his healing couldn’t seem to fix whatever was wrong with her. He cast spell after spell weakening himself to keep her alive.

The Bretonnians, once their minds cleared realized how close this sorcerer came to breaking the alliance and were thankful to the two mages. Lord Desfleuves became a close friend to Carl at this time during his distress of his wife. He found out that the spell cast at his wife had aged her by 50 years, but hadn’t killed her. The spell seemed to effect people different, thus is the ways of chaos.

After the war, his wife is in the care of his family. Using Marinburg as his hub of information sources, he has paid for information from a local gang of rogues on rumours pertaining to magic users, rings, Bretonnia and disguises. He now does what he can to hunt this sorcerer, to find out how to reverse this spells effect. He wears around his check a charm his wife gave him that encourages him to go on.

Years he spent searching for a cure to no avail. Then the Storm of Chaos happened, he had to join the battle against Chaos again. Working with Priests of Sigmar to route out Chaos sympathizers. This was where he met Father Fuch and Margat.

During this time, while Witch hunters interrogated the corrupt. Carl learnt that their was maybe a way to find the cure, from the source. Doing what he could during the conflict, having not the agility or strength to fight. He learnt what he could from the Witch Hunters, and after the war set off, back to his family home. Zundap was destroyed, but he learnt his wife has foreseen the disaster and her and the rest of his family had headed south to Altdorf.

His latest excursion into Bretonnia is to find a rumour of a necromancer described to wear a ring similar to the one worn by the sorcerer at the meeting. But the trail had run cold.
Hearing of his friends death he headed to their family Castle paid his respects and headed off to Marienburg to hopefully refresh his intel from his network of sources.
